I own a dozen bamboo rods that I use exclusively for wets and emergers. The Monllor rod is without peer, even when compared to rods from F.E. Thomas, Leonard, and Edwards.
The  8 1/2 foot Cary Special, is perfect for the western rivers I fish and is perfectly matched to the Henry’s Fork, Silver Creek, the Bitterroot, or anywhere that fish grab bugs right under the surface. This is a perfectly designed rod; light in the hand and gentle on fine tippets. I can't wait for the Trico hatches this Fall!

I fished the Carey Special you sent me for evaluation and it was very, very nice.

I think it is a very well designed rod, suited beautifully for fishing soft-hackles and wets.
